It's been far too long since I've written on here and I can only put it down to a DIY obsession with getting our new bedroom finished, that then poured into the hallway and before we knew it we had painted half the flat!
Margaret Chair: 1950's easy chair £460
It's not that I've been slacking on the chair front, I've been busy doing quite a few bespoke pieces and I've just finished the off white and oatmeal number above.
I have also been busy making the cushions you can see above. I've always loved the West African batik fabric and have been pondering for a while how I can make it work on a chair. In the end I decided they would work better as cushions - et voila!
There are three separate designs of this 40x40cm box cushion and each one comes with a concealed zip and 100% feather infill. Initially I have done a run of fifteen per design and they cost £25 per cushion. Send me an email if you would like to purchase one, email@example.com.
Lastly, I wanted to end this blog with a little tribute to our family dog, Mungo, who very sadly passed away this week.
He was the most loyal, loving friend who would follow you from room to room, not wanting to be apart for one second. I know I'm biased, but you would be hard pushed to find a more loving dog.
His one great down fall was his greed, and in the end it was a victoria sponge that did for him. He managed to yank off the table cloth and scoff the cake before anyone could stop him. For a thirteen year old (91 in dog years) this all proved a little too much. I like to think he went out in style.
RIP Mungo, you wonderful friend.
