I have to admit that it's not often Hickey and Dobson reaches the giddy heights of press coverage, being the tiny one (wo)man show that it is, but this month the chairs have been featured in not one but TWO magazines!

Firstly and most importantly, the Suzy Chair was featured on the fashion and lifestyle magazines AnOther Loves pages. This is a selection of all things lovely that the fine people who work at AnOther come across in their meanderings through life and fashion.  I was very proud to see my chair gracing their pages.

Secondly, a bespoke piece I did for a customer was featured in the most recent edition of Homes and Gardens magazine (Nov 2012) on p.49.

It's a little bit more demure than my usual stye, but the cocktail chair looks amazing set against all the rest of the colour.

It's not often that I use orange on a chair which is strange as it is one of my favourite colours. But I can't resist a bit of heavy weight ticking fabric and this orange and yellow stripe is pretty special.

It's another classic cocktail/club 1940's chair and has an oatmeal linen on the inside seat.

I was also able to use our newly painted, soon to be bedroom for a photo studio as our new bed hasn't been delivered yet. So nice not having to heave furniture around to set up for the photographs.

The only thing I had to move was my husband who, after rather a late night, collapsed like a cat in a sunny spot on the floor and went to sleep.

He's very proud of his DIY progress but this is taking his affection for the new painted floorboards a little far me thinks.

Have a good week everyone x
