A burst of spring colour for a rather rainy autumn

Tada, announcing the beautiful Avril cocktail chair, a classic 1940's piece on sturdy legs with a hand upholstered and hand sprung seat.

I've fallen in love with this fabric which is outrageously cool, a beautiful painted floral design on white linen. It is all pinks and oranges depicting roses, peonies and snap dragons - just what one needs to cheer up the house now Autumn is truly here.

Avril Chair: 1940's restored cocktail chair

It's has white linen back and two white linen buttons on the inside back.

On another note I have also been very busy stocking up on new chairs, I've only managed to photograph a few of them so far, but here's some to whet your appetite.

To the left is a very sturdy and well made 1940's armchair (it one of a pair) with a solid beech frame, £650.  To the right is a gorgeous curved back 1940's armchair from Sweden. In perfect condition, £630.

A pair of of wooden armed cocktail 1940's chairs, perfect condition, £450 each.

On the left is one of a pair of dining chairs, with an unusual gap in the back, £250 per chair. On the right is a gorgeous, heavy weight armchair with a beech frame and those lovely spoke arms, this is also one of a pair, £700 each.

Right that's it for now, I'm beavering away on a load of new pieces so stay tuned, I should have at least one more up before the weekend if all goes to plan.
