Rain, rain, go away!

Another damp weekend, I hate to bore on about the weather but it is STILL raining, hence I haven't been up to that much exciting. I did, to my great surprise, find one little fellow who was loving the rain, he jumped out of one my pots when I was doing a bit of a rejig in the garden, you should have heard me scream and I actually really like frogs!

This is after he tried to hide from me, unsuccessfully poor thing! I've no idea how he got in because we don't have a pond and it's a walled garden. Mmmm.

I made a dawn dash to Kempton antiques market very early on Tuesday morning which was surprisingly dry and picked up some really nice bits and bobs. I'll take some photos and show you but I got a great linen windbreak for our bell tent and some antique bits and bobs to go in our bathroom. We basically have this tiny, slightly mouldy bathroom with horrendously ugly fittings which we can't afford to change so we're just going to try and divert the eye with as many pretty things as we can cram in there. Pictures to follow!

I have also been very busy getting a few new chairs finished, which I'm pretty pleased with.

Windsor Chair: 1950's restored spoke armchair £600

I absolutely love this chair. It's one of my favourite styles with the spoke arms and this time the spokes are inlaid with a brass detail.

The fabric on the inside is a textured floral silk which I have been sitting on for a while, waiting for the right chair to come along.

I've also finished another show stopper, a chunky, fan back 1940's cocktail chair.

Osaka Chair: 1940's fan back cocktail chair £450

This chair has been upholstered using a beautiful plain fuchsia on the inside and a stunning japanese inspired painted linen on the back.

Both of these chairs are available from myself at a discount and also via Not On The High Street.

Enjoy the rest of the week!
